What is the Brick-by-Brick® Programme?

Endorsed by the LEGO Foundation, Brick-by-Brick® is an evidence-based, therapeutic approach to supporting the social, emotional and communication development of children and young people using LEGO®!

Through structured Brick Clubs, participants engage in collaborative building tasks that naturally foster crucial life skills.

As a Certified Brick-by-Brick® Facilitator, you’ll be equipped to lead transformative clubs, create inclusive learning environments where every child can thrive and connect – one LEGO brick at a time.

What do I need to become a certified facilitator?

To run Brick Clubs, you must be part of a recognised organisation (such as a school or healthcare provider) and agree to follow Play Included’s and the LEGO Foundation’s safeguarding, code of conduct and privacy policies.

How long does the training take to complete?

The course content is approximately 6-8 hours long. Since it’s self-paced, you can complete it in manageable chunks at a time that suits you, within the 12 weeks from the date of registration that you have access to the course materials.

Do I need any prior experience with LEGO or therapy?

From the scientific research to playful facilitation techniques, the course is designed to equip you with all the foundational knowledge and practical skills you need to get started. No prior experience required!

Do I need to buy LEGO sets for the Brick Clubs?

The training will provide guidance on the types of LEGO bricks and sets that are most suitable for running Brick Clubs, which you would need to acquire separately to facilitate your clubs effectively.
